Rememberence Tree at Beech Lodge
Article Uploaded : 02/01/2013 by Beech Lodge

BEECH Lodge took time to remember our much-loved residents who passed away over the last 12 months.

The Memory Tree was officially switched on by resident Michael Quinn, from Kilmallock and Fr Des McAuliffe, PP in Bruree just before Christmas.

Director of Care Anne Maria Moore said that Beech Lodge wanted to remember the residents in a special way.

Mrs Moore said: Each November, we hold a mass to remember our residents who have passed and we invite all family members and friends. It is a lovely heart-warming mass, celebrated by our parish priest Fr Des McAuliffe and we find that it is a nice way to stop and think of those who are dearly departed.

We know that Christmas too can be a sad time for these families, and for our residents too who miss their friends. We wanted to have a fitting tribute to these ladies and gentlemen who were such an integral part of our community, she said, adding that this year in particular was a special one for Beech Lodge as it marked 10 years in business.

The memory tree lights will be switched on every evening for the duration of Christmas.
